Although I’m a photographer based in Los Angeles, I have always loved the idea of doing a styled shoot in Central Park, and I finally got my chance to do this summer. My model was an actress from New York. For the shoot, she wore a cathedral veil and sparkling evening gown, which were paired with elegant makeup by Kate Cohen. To accompany her stand-out white gown, she was given a summery floral bouquet from ES Blooms for a pop of color, which featured pinks and pastel purples and oranges surrounded by greenery. To finish off her look, her hair was styled by Nicole Palladini into a simplistic yet classic do. To tie everything together, the invitations had a hand-drawn illustration of New York City, designed by Cricket Printing. The stunning photos were taken at Bow Bridge, Bethesda Terrace, and Cherry Hill Fountain at Central Park. I took film and digital photos between all three locations, making sure that each one framed her in the shot as the primary focal point while still enhancing the gorgeous settings that surrounded the shoot. At the end of the afternoon, everyone was very happy with the outcome of the shoot.
